Sony responded to the proposals by saying "No."Įveryone was hoping that with further negotiations between Bethesda and Sony, that the latter party might remove the stick from their backsides and allow mod assets on their console - however it's been some time now, and it looks like said stick is so firmly lodged up there, that chances of real mods making it to PS4 are extremely bleak at best.Īgain, sorry - unless you're willing to transition to XBOne, or even better to PC, you're SOL for 95% of the mods available for both games (any that add any assets to the game - models, textures, sounds, etc. Yeah sorry chief, as was mentioned before, when Bethesda approached the two console developers to propose adding mod support to Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE, Microsoft responded by saying "Oh wow, cool idea! It'll take some doing, and we'll have to look at the limitations of the Xbox One, which will mean limiting the size of the mods' files, and unfortunately we can't support the script extender that some of the mods rely on - but we'll work with you guys to bring some of the coolest mods to the console versions so our players can enjoy your games the way they want to!"
